ACLS Provider Course
ACLS is an advanced, course that highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care. It also covers airway management and related pharmacology. In this course, skills are taught in large, group sessions and small, group learning and testing stations where case-based scenarios are presented.
ACLS Initial Course Overview
The ACLS course requires approximately 10-12 hours to complete, including skills practice and skills testing. ACLS is comprised of training that focuses on information for healthcare professionals who initiate and direct advanced life support in critically ill adult patients. This course highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care. The course also covers airway management and related pharmacology. Through simulated clinical scenarios that encourage active, hands-on participation through learning stations is where students practice essential skills individually, as part of a team, and as team leader.
